Customization and Personalization Options at CS Carpentry

Posted by Chris Skrobarczyk on Nov 22, 2025

If you know exactly what you want, I am very likely to be able to help you out.

One of the most common customization requests comes from folks who know exactly what rods and reels they'll be storing in their custom fishing rod racks.  They would rather have the holes precisely where they know they want them than have the versatility of the standard two inch spacing.  If this is the only customization you need, then you're in luck!  The pricing is based on the overall length, and will not change based on the number of holes drilled.  Send me a message with your request, and I'll get the ordering instructions to you right away.

The other options for customization are virtually limitless.

  • Custom depth? No problem.
  • Custom hole sizes?  No issues there.
  • Custom layout?  Not an issue.
  • A combination of similar products in a single unit?  Doesn't hurt to ask.

As far as personalization options go, I don't usually do that sort of thing.  I don't have any laser cutters, computerized engravers, or similar tools for fancy personalization, but that doesn't mean that there are no options.  If you need something personalized, let me know.  I'll do my best to help you come up with the best solution for your scenario.

I know it can be difficult to send an inquiry about something you aren't quite sure about yet, but I genuinely want to help you come up with the perfect solution for your unique needs.

Here are a few examples of inspiration for non-standard customizations:

This one was very similar to the standard fishing rod racks. This customer opted to have a clear semi-gloss finish on red oak, and also went with a custom 7 inch spacing instead of the standard 2 inch spacing. This one was 32 inches overall with 5 spaces at 7 inches apart.

This one was also very similar to the standard fishing rod rack options. This customer needed a little extra depth on the top piece to account for the bottom piece being mounted to the wainscotting, and also went with solid white oak wood construction. This one was 94 inches overall with 46 spaces with the standard 2 inch spacing.
