These vertical fly rod racks were born from the need to store fly rods with the reels attached. The inherent design of most fly rods, with the reels very close to the end of the rod, meant that the rod butt would not extend all the way down to the beveled hold board in the original standard rod racks. The butt of the fly rod rests in the recess of the bottom piece, while the tip of the rod is secured in the top piece with a one of a kind monofilament keeper with just the right amount of rigidity. It's very secure, and it's also very easy to quickly access and remove your fly rods from!
Ceiling mount fishing rod racks
Out of the way. All the way out of the way! The ceiling rod racks might not be as easy to quickly access your rods from, but they do keep your fishing rods all the way out of harm's way. This option is best suited for tackle rooms without any available wall space to store fishing poles on, bedrooms and garages where the fishing tackle has to be out of the way of daily activities, or any space where there is so much tackle to store that it just has to go on the ceiling.
