The unfinished poplar option is the most economical of the solid hardwood options offered here.  It is a great choice for fishing rod holders for the garage, and it is the most common unfinished option for a painted finish.  If you're going for a consistent stained finish, check out the unfinished red oak option.

Keep in mind that the holes in these racks are only two inches apart. This is by design. It allows for maximum versatility, and maximum use of available space. It can be like a puzzle fitting fully rigged rods and reels in all of the spaces.
